2010 NRL Season Preview - Cronulla Sharks

Below email was sent to me from a long suffering Sharks fan (a phrase too often used but never more appropriate than for Cronulla supporters).

"Reece Williams Mr nice guy has to perform. Leave him in the second row no more boring centres please.
Blake Ferguson and Dean Collis have the spark to score points. Maybe a few more scores over 20 points would be nice.
Forward pack have to work together to give Anthony Tupou a chance to attack.
Paul Aiton has to be creative so they are not looking for Gallen every third tackle.
Hopefully talent spotting has improved with Albert Kelly. Not another Karlos Falinga.
Barrett only needs an average half back. Hopefully we can find one. (Has he forgotten about John Morris?)
Douglas to stay in front row Snowden to play well but two more are required.
And Covell... If he captains one more game I may walk away."
Many thanks to my mate Rod for this.

Sharks fans seem to think Tupou is their only hope.
Questions:
Will Ricky Stuart destroy any attacking flair in Albert Kelly? A student of history would say yes.
Will anyone north of Tom Ugly's Bridge get into Shark Park without being frisked by the shire's finest? Not likely.

On one side - The Gaza Strip. On the other side - Shark Park

What round will Cronulla finally score more than 14 points in a game this year? Betting suspended.
Will Jack Afamasaga remain one of this blogs favourite footy players? Absolutely.

Afamasaga is looking for a huge 2010

Tip - With a brand new 9, 7 and 1 it will take them months to gel. They miss the eight but their spirit and aggression is a site to behold.
X Factor - Blake Ferguson. Not to add the pressure of potential but he is good.
Premiership odds - $41.00 - longest odds at this stage. If you are thinking of betting on the Sharks, perhaps you should spend the money on a Southern Cross tattoo instead??
Breakout season - Jason Bukuya. Has come through NYC and some first grade experience in 2009. Tough Kid.
