Capital Insight;
This week in the capital with the Gonski report all the rage, a couple of Canberra Raiders thought they would transcend beyond education. To do this the idea of joining the Friends of the National Arboretum Canberra was discussed over a few machiatos.
As autumn leaves began to tumble Tom Learoyd-Lars turned to Sandor Earl, “I feel we should join, perhaps even plant a few trees. As Jean Giono succinctly described in the opening lines of his great novel The Man Who Planted Trees… ‘For a human character to reveal truly exceptional qualities, one must have the good fortune to be able to observe its performance over many years’”.
Sandor looked out upon the distant churning Lake Burley Griffin waters and replied after some minutes “Yes Tom, I think you are right”. Viva la Capital.
